Pharmacological Effects • Respiratory: administration associated with marked antitussive and expectorant effects in mice
• Adaptogenic: administration in mice associated with increased resistance to hypoxia and increased swimming time
Herb-Drug Interactions • Sedatives: oral ingestion prolonged sleeping time induced by barbiturates
