Formula Type Formulas that Treat Abscesses and Sores
Diagnosis Lung abscesses due to wind heat toxin entering the lungs accompanied by phlegm and blood stasis
Action Clears heat from the lungs, transforms phlegm, drives out blood stasis, discharges pus
Indication Coughs with foul smelling sputum, slight fever, mild chest pain, dry skin, red tongue with greasy yellow coating, slippery rapid pulse
Remarks Also used during recuperation from febrile decease, when the patient has the slight fever and cough with a thick sputum that is difficult to expectorate
