Formula Type Formulas that Expel Wind
Diagnosis Liver Yin deficiency with Liver Yang Rising to attack the Heart, Liver Wind stirring internally
Action Nourishes Yin, restores the pulse, clears heat, anchors Yang, extinguishes wind
Indication Severe palpitations, Heart pain; may also be fever, flushed face, hot palms and soles, dry throat, dizziness, tinnitus, spasms, quivering fingers, impaired consciousness, stiffness of tongue or deep-red and dry tongue, blackish teeth, cracked lips. P: thin, rapid, irregular pulse
Remarks Contraindicated during pregnancy unless gui ban and bie jia are removed; use with caution when diarrhea due to Spleen Yang or Stomach Qi deficiency is present
