Formula Type	Formulas that Tonify
Diagnosis	Lung and Kidney qi deficiency with phlegm heat collecting internally
Action	Tonifies the qi, augments the Kidneys, stops coughing, and arrests wheezing.
Indication	Chronic coughing and wheezing, thick, yellow sputum, coughing of pus and blood, a sensation of heat and irritability in the chest, facial edema, gradual emaciation.Tongue: purple with thin, white or thin, greasy and yellow coatPulse: floating, deficient, esp. in the distal position
Remarks	This is a deficient condition and so the coughing lacks force and exhalation is easier than inhalation. May progress to Lung atrophy.
